The first two-shots of Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young, who returned to the lovers of the century ‘Lee San and Seong-deok-im’ through ‘The Red Sleeve Cuff’, were released.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Red Sleeve Cuff’, which will be aired for the first time on Friday, November 5, is a record of the royal romance between the court lady who wanted to protect the life she chose and the king who put the country first over love. Based on the novel of the same name by Han Kang Mi-gang, it includes Lee Jun-ho (Lee San), Lee Se-young (Seong Deok-im), Kang Hoon (Hong Deok-ro), Lee Deok-hwa (Youngjo), Park Ji-young (Jejo Sang-gung), and Jang Hee-jin (Jung-jeon Kim)), Jang Hye-jin (Seo Sang-gung), Jo Hee-bong (Hong Jeong-yeo), Seo Hyo-rim (Hwawan Princess), Kang Mal-geum (Hyebin-hong), Oh Dae-hwan (Kang Tae-ho), etc.
Above all, Lee Jun-ho, who returned with a deeper charm after being discharged from the military, and Lee Se-young, who is known as the undefeated goddess of historical dramas, met as the protagonists of ‘Court Romance of the Century’, raising expectations every day.
In the drama, Lee Jun-ho takes on the role of ‘Lee San’, a strict and arrogant perfectionist grandson, while Lee Se-young takes on the role of ‘Seong Deok-im’, a court lady who wants to independently choose her own life rather than one of the king’s countless women.
The two, who will later become ‘King Jeongjo’ and ‘Uibin Sung’, plan to unfold a passionate and turbulent romance in the court where intense and tense politics come and go. Among them, the ‘The Red Sleeve Cuffs’ side drew attention by revealing the two-shot of Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young for the first time.
In the released stills, Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young are standing alone by a quiet pond surrounded by greenery. The dignity of the Crown Prince can only be felt from Lee Jun-ho, who is dressed in an ebony robe, and Lee Se-yeong, who wears a pale pink jeogori with red sleeves and a navy blue skirt. Like this, the beautiful figures of Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young, who seem to be looking at an ink-and-wash painting, vertically raise the anticipation for the chemistry that the two will show in the play.
Meanwhile, Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young’s eye contact raises interest. Because the Crown Prince and the court lady have crossed the law of never being able to keep an eye on each other. Furthermore, Lee Jun-ho, who stares intently into Lee Se-young’s eyes with unshaken eyes, and Lee Se-young’s interim eyes looking up at Lee Jun-ho’s face with a tense expression, raise the heart rate of the viewer. Accordingly, attention is paid to the appearance of Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young, who will show a mournful romance between the Crown Prince and the court lady, and between a man and a woman.
It will be aired for the first time on November 5 (Fri).
