The Busan International Film Festival announced on the 16th that it has selected actors Song Joong-ki and Park So-dam as the hosts for the opening ceremony of the 26th this year’s film festival.
Actors Song Joong-ki and Park So-dam, who captured the world through various platforms such as TV CRTs, screens, and online video service (OTT), will host the opening ceremony of the 26th Busan International Film Festival to be held at the Busan Cinema Center on October 6th.
Actor Song Joong-ki caused a syndrome for a reason with successive box office hits from the movie ‘Victory’ (2020) to the drama ‘Vincenzo’ (2021). He made his debut with ‘A Frozen Flower’ in 2008, followed by dramas ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ (2010), ‘Nice Guy’ (2012), ‘Descendants of the Sun’ (2016), ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ (2019), and the movie ‘A Werewolf Boy’ (2012) and ‘Battleship Island’ (2017) proved both his acting skills and popularity, establishing himself as a global star in name and reality.
Actress Park So-dam, who showed a unique performance in each work such as the movies ‘The Supreme Court’ (2014) and ‘Kyungsung School: Missing Girls’ (2014), imprinted a unique presence on the public with ‘The Priests’ in 2015.
The following year, she won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Blue Dragon Film Festival and the Best New Actor Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards. In the movie ‘Parasite’, Ki-jeong, the youngest daughter living in a semi-basement house, captivated audiences around the world with her impressive acting that adds density to the disassembled film, and has even been equipped with a filmography of 10 million films.
