‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ Song Hye-kyo and Jang Ki-yong’s special melodrama begins.
The most anticipated work in the second half of 2021, SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ will be broadcast for the first time on November 12. The sweet, salty, spicy and bitter farewell ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ written as ‘farewell’ and read as ‘love’ is the only melodrama that will color the small screen this fall, and it is hotly chasing issues even before it airs.
In the midst of this, three teaser posters for ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ were released on October 18th. First, the exciting melodramatic chemistry of the two main characters, Song Hye-kyo (Ha Young-eun) and Jang Ki-yong (Yoon Jae-guk), steals the attention. In addition, the love process is arranged in reverse order, maximizing the happiness of love, and showing the charm of the melodrama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’.
The first teaser poster reminds me of ‘break up’.A black-and-white photo of Song Hye-kyo as if someone was on it, and two couplings lying around. These are all images that remind me of ‘parting’. However, the copy on the poster reads, “Our love is in progress.” Through this, it can be guessed that the parting in ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ is not a ‘parting’ of turning around, but one of ‘the process of love’.
The second teaser poster suggests ‘accumulating memories’. The teaser poster contains a picture of the lover (Song Hye-kyo and Jang Ki-yong) smiling broadly while holding hands. There is a sense of comfort and tenderness between the two of them. Every moment you spend with your loved one becomes a memory, and your happiness grows that much. The smiles of the two people in the photo make us look forward to how beautiful the memories of love they will build in ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ will be.
The last teaser poster shows the exciting ‘beginning of love’. In the poster, Jang Ki-yong is taking a picture of his lover Song Hye-kyo in the drama. You can feel the fluttering excitement in Jang Ki-yong’s face with the camera, and the shy trembling in Song Hye-kyo’s eyes in front of the camera. I am curious about the start of the dazzling love that the two draw.
Above all, the special concept is impressive. Usually, love proceeds through the process of ‘beginning, building memories, and breaking up’. However, the poster for the drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’, which seems to mean parting from the title, reversed this order. Through this, the happiness of loved moments is emphasized more. It can be said that it showed the beauty of love itself, not the end of love.
Here, the shining harmony of Song Hye-kyo and Jang Ki-yong raises the excitement index. I am curious and looking forward to the first broadcast of the special melodrama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’.
SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ is a collaboration between writer Jane of ‘Misty’ and director Lee Gil-bok Lee of ‘Dr. Romantic 2’. It will premiere on November 12 after ‘One the Woman‘.
