Actress Park Eun-bin expressed her confidence in KBS2’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘A King’s Affection’.
Park Eun-bin takes on the role of ‘Lee Hwi’, a prince who hides the secret of a ‘woman’ in KBS 2TV’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘A King’s Affection’ (directed by Song Hyeon-wook, Lee Hyun-suk, and written by Han Hee-jeong), which will be aired for the first time on October 11 (Mon).
The reason why Park Eun-bin paid attention to ‘A King’s Affection’ is because of the “charming setting”. “The story of hiding that she is a woman, raising her as a crown prince, and becoming a king was fascinating. It seemed like it would become a rare and precious piece that will never happen again for a while.”
As explained by Park Eun-bin, ‘A King’s Affection‘ is a work that started from the wild imagination of what kind of story would have been written if there was a king who ascended to the throne in a woman’s body and had to completely disappear from history because he was a woman. She also said, “If the setting of a woman in a male costume as a supreme monarch is the beginning of the content that twists daily life, the scenes derived from it can sometimes look unfamiliar and sometimes fresh.” “The content flows naturally, but , there are moments when the general relationship is overthrown.”
However, the process of expressing the perfect wangjae who has both literary and martial arts skills to such an extent that there is no one to follow was not easy. Park Eun-bin even mentioned, “I needed time to train.” Basically, I practiced horseback riding and action, and tried to make use of her neutral charm so that I could look as natural as possible when I grew up as a man.
She even pays attention to the tone of her voice so that subtle differences can be felt depending on who she is with. Injecting a more meticulous and delicate acting soul than any role.
Compassion for the role also became the driving force for further training the actor herself. According to Park Eun-bin, Lee Hwi had a secret to keep, so she had to arm herself stronger and more firmly. In a word, there are no gaps. The reason for describing her as “a person like a blue flame” is that “like a blue flame that burns quietly at a higher temperature than just a roaring red flame, it actually felt hot and colder.” So it was pathetic for Hwi, who had to choose a lonely path, surrounded by an iron wall with coldness, constantly biting her around.
Hwi, which was so hard, begins to shake. That is when Jeong Ji-woon (Rowoon) appeared as Seo Yeon-gwan’s teacher. Park Eun-bin said, “Since then, I keep revealing myself in the mask I’ve been trying to hide. She said, “I feel a very different mind from the image I’ve always been protecting, and I feel dangerous and dangerous to myself.” So, she pointed to “how to rectify and strive for unavoidable emotions that cannot be controlled according to your heart and will” as a point to watch, and finally, “Please take a good look at Hwi and Jiwoon’s heartbreaking hearts.”
‘A King’s Affection‘ will be broadcast for the first time on KBS 2TV at 9:30 pm on Monday, October 11th.
