[Magazine] Yoo Ah-in, “The life of an actor without a royal road, stimulates a sense of challenge”

Actor Yoo Ah-in decorated the cover of the special edition of Marie Claire, the official magazine of the Busan International Film Festival.

Yoo Ah-in won the Best Actor Award at the recent Fantasia International Film Festival for the movie ‘Voice of Silent’, which was released last year, and the Baeksang Arts Awards and Blue Dragon Film Awards. In this photo shoot, he radiated his unique strong energy and added strength to the black and white photo shoot.

Yoo Ah-in was recently invited to the Toronto International Film Festival Primetime and played the role of ‘Jung Jin-soo,’ an emerging religious group, in the Netflix series ‘Hellbound’, which will be pre-released at this year’s Busan International Film Festival.

He said, “I thought the process of making a serious, serious, perhaps shocking story could be this pleasant.” Regarding director Yeon Sang-ho, who worked with him, he said, “I had the pleasure of watching the process of solidifying my intentions and the message of the work without losing my humor.” He recalled the shooting site.

He added, “Furthermore, playing the character ‘Jung Jin-soo’ was a process of measuring the absolute loneliness and loneliness of that character.”

When asked what made him continue to live as an actor, Yoo Ah-in answered, “The fact that there is no royal road. That constantly stimulates a sense of challenge.”
