Kim Soo-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Kim Seong-gyu, and Lee Seol, the protagonists of the first Coupang Play series ‘One Ordinary Day’ (directed by Myeong-woo Lee), unveiled the scene of ‘Script Reading’, which created a strong aura from the first meeting.
‘One Ordinary Day’, which will be released in November, is an eight-part hardcore crime drama depicting the fierce survival of Hyun-soo (Kim Soo-hyun), who becomes a murder suspect overnight from an ordinary college student, and Shin Joon-han (Cha Seung-won), a third-class lawyer who does not ask the truth.
‘One Ordinary Day’ is a work that draws attention thanks to the collaboration of actors Kim Soo-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Kim Seong-gyu and Lee Seol, and director Lee Myung-woo, who directed ‘Punch’, ‘Whisper’ and ‘The Fiery Priest’.
Meanwhile, director Lee Myung-woo and actors Kim Soo-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Kim Seong-gyu, and Lee Seol gathered in one place and met for the first time.
At the ‘Script Reading’ site, which started with director Lee Myung-woo’s warm and ambitious first greeting, Kim Soo-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Kim Seong-gyu, and Lee Seol assimilated into each character and performed enthusiastically.
According to the production team, Kim Soo-hyun, who plays the role of Kim Hyeon-soo, who became a murder suspect overnight from an ordinary college student, overwhelmed the atmosphere with his story-telling eyes and an appealing voice. Kim Soo-hyun warmed up the scene by capturing Kim Hyun-soo’s feelings in the typeface with excellent emotional expression.
Cha Seung-won, who returned to the drama after a long time, boasted a 180-degree change of visual for the role of a third-rate lawyer who lives by defending ordinary criminals. Cha Seung-won, who declared a radical transformation with a bushy beard and long hair tied up, showed the craftsmanship of real-life acting with a prudent look.
Kim Seong-gyu, who drew the public’s attention with his strong presence in each film such as the movies ‘Crime City’, ‘The War of the Villains’ and ‘Kingdom Season 1 & 2’, took on the role of Do Ji-tae, the top power in the food chain in the prison, and has a thick charisma with high-density acting.
Lee Seol, who received favorable reviews from ‘Bad Detective’, ‘When the Devil Calls Your Name’, and ‘D.P.‘, has just joined the company and is a clumsy young chick lawyer, but shows off her bold acting skills as Seo Su-jin, who is united with humanism, and is assimilated into the drama.
The production team said, “‘One Ordinary Day’ is a drama that was prepared with great ambition, with director Lee Myung-woo, Kim Soo-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Kim Seong-gyu, Lee Seol, and other masters of directing and acting. We ask for a lot of interest and anticipation for ‘One Ordinary Day’, which will deliver a message.”
‘One Ordinary Day’ will be exclusively released through Coupang Play in November.
